The City of God has always required ordered borders. Scripture records the division of nations at Babel and the command to Israel to maintain distinct inheritance; the undivided Church upheld the same principle when it sanctified the realm as the proper sphere of Christian rule.
From the Peace of Westphalia in 1648 onward, the European commonwealth rested upon the recognition that each people possesses the right to preserve its blood, soil, and confession against foreign inundation. Every subsequent outrage will only confirm what the present case already demonstrates: nations that refuse to defend their own people invite their own destruction.
