The University of Kansas has removed menstrual products from men's bathrooms following the state's new statute on sex-segregated facilities. Its health office, however, retains the term menstruators for women, preserving the ideological vocabulary even as the physical policy retreats.
This adjustment arrives not from internal conviction but from external legal pressure. The law reasserts that men may not enter women's restrooms and women may not enter men's, a basic recognition of bodily difference long embedded in Western custom and building codes since the nineteenth century.
The persistence of the word menstruators reveals the deeper aim. The Managerial Priesthood in the university bureaucracy seeks to detach language from observable sex, treating the female body as a malleable category rather than a created reality ordered by God.
Scripture and the creeds affirm that male and female He created them. The Augustinian distinction between the City of God and the City of Man places such linguistic redefinitions among the earthly city's attempts to remake nature according to human will alone.
The Realist tradition further insists that universals exist independently of opinion. Sex is not assigned by administrative decree but discovered in the order of being. When an institution severs word from flesh it assaults the very grammar of creation.
Reformation witness reinforces the point. The five solas place Scripture above every human construct, and the doctrine of creation leaves no room for the claim that a man can menstruate or that a woman is merely a menstruator.
The faithful remnant must therefore refuse the remaining linguistic fiction. Parents and alumni should demand the complete excision of such terminology from every university document and budget. Households must withdraw support from institutions that subordinate biological fact to ideological habit.
Where the law has restored the threshold of the restroom, truth must now restore the threshold of speech. The City of Man yields only when confronted by both statute and confession.
