Secretary of State Marco Rubio has laid bare the methodical work of communist Cuba in planting its operatives inside the highest reaches of the American state. These agents did not arrive by accident; they were cultivated through patient subversion, exploiting the openness of the republic to serve the ends of a hostile foreign power.
The motive is plain. Havana seeks to hollow out American resolve from within, turning institutions meant to defend the nation into instruments that advance the interests of its enemies. Such burrowing is not ordinary diplomacy but the deliberate transfer of sovereignty to an alien will.
This pattern echoes the subversion that marked the collapse of ordered Christendom after the upheavals of 1789 and 1917, when revolutionary ideologies first learned to inhabit the structures of older realms and turn them against their own foundations. The United States now faces the same ancient tactic refined by a Caribbean regime still wedded to the same spirit.
Nations exist under God as distinct peoples with the duty to preserve their own households and borders. Scripture records repeated commands to guard against the stranger who comes to supplant rather than to dwell in peace; the law of nations affirms the same right to self-preservation that every ordered commonwealth has exercised from the beginning.
When foreign agents occupy positions of trust, the distinction between law and lawlessness dissolves. The state ceases to serve its own people and becomes a stage upon which external powers enact their designs without resistance.
The governing principle therefore stands: a people that tolerates the capture of its governing institutions has already surrendered the substance of its independence. No quantity of procedural safeguards can compensate for the loss of vigilance over who actually rules.
The judgment follows directly. The faithful remnant must require the identification and removal of every Cuban operative from American institutions, the closing of all avenues that permit such infiltration, and the restoration of unapologetic national loyalty as the condition of public office.
Anything less ratifies the ongoing dispossession of the American nation by its enemies. The hour demands action, not further accommodation.
