Virginia voters have amended their constitution to place an expansive claim to abortion under the protection of fundamental law. The measure, sold under the banner of limited health exceptions, removes every statutory barrier that once restrained the practice across nine months of gestation.

This decision advances the work of the Dispossessors who have long labored to sever the bond between mother and child. Their victory in the Old Dominion follows the pattern established when the federal judiciary first imposed the same regime upon the nation in 1973.

From the earliest centuries the undivided Church condemned the shedding of innocent blood. The Patristics and the ancient creeds placed the protection of the unborn among the non-negotiable marks of Christian order, distinguishing the City of God from the pagan cities that offered children to false gods.

The Reformed tradition reinforced that witness by insisting that the household exists under the direct sovereignty of God. No popular vote and no constitutional text can annul the divine command that forbids the murder of the innocent.

Virginia has now joined the company of those commonwealths that have subordinated the natural law to the will of the crowd. Such acts repeat the ancient error of placing man above the Creator and treating the weakest members of the household as disposable property.

The governing principle remains unchanged across the centuries: life begins at conception and belongs to God alone. Any legal instrument that contradicts this truth stands under the same judgment Scripture pronounces upon nations that pollute their land with blood.

The faithful remnant therefore cannot treat this amendment as settled law. They must labor to expose its falsehood, withhold cooperation from every institution that enforces it, and build parallel structures of governance that once again shield the unborn.

Only when the household recovers its rightful authority over life and death will the commonwealth be restored to moral order. Until that day the remnant stands under the same obligation that bound the early Church: to refuse the decrees of Moloch and to suffer whatever cost fidelity demands.
