The Schoolroom as Forge of the New Jacobins

Half of college professors at four-year institutions now openly identify as socialists or far left, and the same pattern has spread downward into secondary and even primary classrooms where curricula celebrate state redistribution while condemning private property as oppression. Young Americans absorb this teaching as settled truth rather than the latest installment in a centuries-old assault on the Christian household economy.

The Managerial Priesthood that staffs these institutions does not merely transmit information. It forges souls for the Dispossessor, training children to view the family farm, the independent shop, and the covenant household as relics of injustice rather than the God-ordained units of production and moral order.

This development stands in direct succession to the Jacobin seizure of education after 1789, when the revolutionary state closed the religious colleges and replaced them with centralized lycées designed to manufacture citizens loyal to the collective rather than to father, parish, and king. The same logic now operates through federal grants, accreditation bodies, and teacher-training programs that enforce ideological conformity.

Scripture and the undivided Church have always rejected both the abolition of property demanded by the collectivist and the atomized pursuit of mammon permitted under unchecked usury. The historic standard remains the ordered stewardship of the household under God, property held widely yet bounded by moral law, and markets subordinated to the survival of the people rather than the reverse.

Every survey that records rising approval for communism among those under thirty therefore measures not an organic shift in opinion but the deliberate success of an indoctrination machine that severs the young from the inheritance of the Creeds, the Reformers, and the common law.

The faithful remnant cannot answer this capture with better arguments alone. They must withdraw their children from the formation centers of the enemy and rebuild schools, curricula, and guilds that transmit the real order of being rather than the constructed narrative of envy.

Where fathers once taught their sons a trade and mothers formed daughters in household economy, parallel institutions must now rise under the same patriarchal authority, refusing both state subsidy and corporate capture. The cost will be high, yet the alternative is the continued surrender of the next generation to the City of Man.
