At eleven flagship universities, Republican scholars have been reduced to a vanishing minority while Black faculty already exceed them in number. Forty percent of the professoriate openly declare they will not hire a Trump voter, and one in four in the softer disciplines would actively campaign to remove a colleague for expressing conservative thought.
This purge is not the work of scattered radicals but of the Managerial Priesthood that now governs the academy. The same caste that dismantled the old creeds and hierarchies has installed itself as the sole arbiter of permissible opinion, turning lecture halls into tribunals.
The universities of Christendom were founded to seek the unity of faith and reason under the sovereignty of God. From Paris to Oxford, they presupposed an objective moral order that the mind could discover rather than invent. That inheritance has been deliberately overturned.
Once the Realists' conviction that truth precedes opinion collapsed, the institutions followed. The five solas and the creeds that ordered the Western mind gave way to the construction of new orthodoxies enforced by administrative power. What began as the secularization of the medieval schools ends in the explicit exclusion of dissent.
The pattern is now unmistakable. The same spirit that drove the iconoclasm of the sixteenth century and the leveling of the eighteenth has found its final institutional home in the modern university. There it perfects the work of dispossession, stripping families and nations of any claim to transmit their own inheritance through education.
The Faithful Remnant therefore cannot petition the captured towers for readmission. Parallel colleges, guilds of scholars, and household schools must rise outside the monopoly. Property, patronage, and parental authority must be redirected to institutions that still confess the ancient creeds and honor the objective order of being.
Every tuition dollar and every accreditation demand now functions as tribute to the new priesthood. The faithful must withdraw that tribute and build again.
