Rob Jetten, the progressive standard-bearer in The Hague, declined every opportunity to identify Islamic teaching as the engine behind the Netherlands' surge in harassment and attacks on those who live contrary to nature. Opponents in the chamber pressed him to confront the pattern of aggression emanating from communities that arrived bearing the Quran's explicit condemnation of sodomy.
This refusal is no isolated lapse. It continues the long retreat of European leadership before the demographic and doctrinal advance that began with the Turkish conquests and now proceeds through open borders and suppressed speech. The same spirit that once rallied at Lepanto now hides behind managerial euphemism while aldermen receive death threats for insufficient zeal.
The governing principle is older than the Dutch Republic itself. Scripture and the undivided Church have always held that sexual order belongs to the fabric of creation, not to private opinion or foreign creed. When the magistrate will not distinguish between the law written on the heart and the law brought from Medina, he betrays both the remnant and the nation entrusted to him.
Jetten's stance therefore serves the Dispossessor, the technocratic figure who trades ancestral inheritance for temporary peace with an incompatible civilization. The pattern repeats across the Low Countries and beyond: violence follows the call to prayer, yet the press and the pulpit alike are instructed to look elsewhere.
Augustine warned that the City of Man will always seek alliance with whatever power promises to silence the City of God. In the present case the alliance is struck with an ideology that rejects both the creeds and the natural law the creeds presuppose.
The faithful remnant is left with a clear duty. They must name the doctrine, defend the household against its spread, and refuse every further concession that accelerates the replacement of Europe's historic peoples. Only when truth is spoken without apology can the defense of hearth and nation begin again.
