The man who killed one woman and wounded twenty-nine others was in fact Abdul B., a twenty-one-year-old of Lebanese origin with documented Islamist ties, and German authorities immediately classified the assault as Islamist terrorism.
The remark revealed no sorrow for the dead but a frantic desire that the killer conform to the narrative the regime has spent decades constructing. She did not pray the crime had never occurred; she prayed only that the perpetrator could be reassigned to the role of native European Christian so the imported threat could remain invisible.
Europe has faced this pattern since the fall of Constantinople in 1453, when the same ideological refusal to name the advancing enemy allowed successive waves of conquest to reach the gates of Vienna. The pattern repeats today because the governing class has replaced the old Christian consensus with a new cult that treats demographic replacement as moral progress and every act of Islamic violence as an unfortunate deviation from the script.
The governing principle violated here is the ancient Christian demand that truth be spoken without regard to political convenience. The undivided Church and the Reformers after her insisted that reality is not constructed by human opinion but given by God, and that the refusal to name evil by its true name is itself a form of participation in that evil.
The speaker at the vigil therefore stands as an instance of the Managerial Priesthood that now administers the ruins of Christendom. Her words serve the larger project of dissolving the historic European nations by ensuring that every crime committed by those brought in under open borders must be attributed to some phantom native instead.
The faithful remnant cannot continue to treat such statements as mere emotional excess. They are active instruments in the dispossession of the European peoples, and every refusal to correct the record strengthens the hand of those who would complete that dispossession.
The necessary response is therefore to name the actor and the act without apology, to reject every attempt to substitute the preferred villain for the actual one, and to rebuild the ordered households and national borders that once protected the City of God from the earthly city's imported chaos.
