FCC Chair Brendan Carr has opened a review of ABC’s broadcast licenses after years of coordinated distortion on matters of national consequence. Disney’s network responded by declaring the review an assault on press freedom.
ABC functions as one arm of the Managerial Priesthood that manufactures consent for the dissolution of borders, households, and historic identity. Its parent corporation treats the public airwaves as private property to be wielded against the people who granted the privilege.
The governing principle is older than the Commission itself. From the earliest Christian commonwealths the magistrate held authority to restrain those who held public trust from using it to subvert the common good. The printing press did not exempt its users from that duty; neither does the spectrum.
Scripture and the creeds alike condemn the bearing of false witness as a capital offense against ordered society. When a network repeatedly presents falsehood as settled fact on questions of life, sex, and sovereignty, the license that permits its reach becomes a public hazard rather than a public service.
Carr’s action therefore restores a forgotten distinction between liberty and license. The First Amendment protects the right to speak; it never conferred an indefeasible right to occupy scarce public frequencies while systematically deceiving the audience.
The pattern is familiar. Corporate media consolidates, then demands immunity from every restraint once placed upon pulpit or press. The same entities that cheered the de-banking of dissenters now cry tyranny when their own privileges face examination.
The faithful remnant must treat this review not as routine regulation but as a necessary reassertion of national sovereignty over the instruments of public speech. Households that still receive their news through these channels must withdraw consent and build alternatives.
Every broadcast license is a stewardship held at the pleasure of the commonwealth, not an eternal grant. When that stewardship is abused to advance the City of Man against the remnants of Christendom, revocation is not censorship but simple justice.
