Residents interviewed on the streets of the capital and nearby Virginia offered blunt testimony that men competing as women carry an irreducible biological advantage, while others claimed that self-identification alone grants entry into female categories. The division is not accidental; it follows the deliberate erasure of the distinction between male and female that Western Christendom once guarded through law, custom, and creed.

Scripture and the undivided Church have always confessed that God created humanity male and female, a truth enshrined in the Nicene affirmation of the goodness of the created order. The Realists of the tradition understood that universals such as sex belong to the structure of being itself, not to private declaration or medical alteration.

Modern sentimentalism has inverted this inheritance. The same forces that once dissolved the guilds and the household economy now dissolve the body’s own boundaries, reducing the athlete to a consuming unit whose feelings override the record of muscle, bone, and reproductive capacity handed down from the fathers.

Where the Augustinian vision distinguished the City of God from the City of Man by the love of truth over the love of self, today’s managerial priesthood demands that every public institution ratify the lie that a man can become a woman. The result is the theft of fair competition from daughters whose bodies were formed for a different vocation.

Historical precedent is clear: when the early Church confronted gnostic contempt for the material order, it answered with the confession that the Word became flesh. The same answer is required now against the new gnosticism that treats the body as raw material for ideological reconstruction.

The faithful remnant therefore cannot remain neutral. Households, parishes, and local associations must refuse every policy that places males in female spaces and must rebuild the institutions that once protected the integrity of womanhood as a created good.

Parents who have watched records fall and scholarships disappear already know the cost of silence. The hour demands that they speak the ancient truth without apology and act to restore separate spheres of competition ordered by the reality of sex.
